Going to NYC! This summer! July!
So, long story short. Earlier this week, my high school sewing friend, Liz Kenney, posted on facebook that she was looking for someone to stay in their home in Brooklyn, NY, for a week in July while they are on vacation. Their garden needs watering and the dog needs some TLC. I messaged back immediately. We messaged back and forth for a couple of days, talked on the phone and Keenan and I booked tickets for us and the girls. Kamiko can't go because of work. He probably wouldn't enjoy all the girly stuff, anyway. I can't wait. The girls will have to miss stake trek, but that's ok. Allie said she'll wear a pioneer dress the whole week. Mel suggested we go to the sacred grove. So, we fly to Buffalo, NY, to see Niagara Falls, then drive to Palmyra. Then we go to NYC for a week. We then take the train down to DC to stay with our college friends, the Fullmers. They offered to be tour guides, too. It's gonna be so fun. We already got tickets to see "Cinderella," the new Broadway show. It should be such a blast! I'll wish Kamiko were there, but that's life with a grown-up kid.
